Topic: You shall not be Ashamed 

Text: psalm 23:2 , It reads , no one who wait upon the lord will ever be  put to shame.

I have never seen anybody who waited and depended on God that was being put to shame. One wealthy man was sharing gifts to girls in a particular community.

So he told all the girls to come to his compound and be on a que , so he could share the gifts to them . The gifts,  the wealthy man was sharing has different sizes. Some are bigger than the others. 

The rule of the wealthy man is, be on the que and don't play smart to jump line, he told the girls that he had enough gifts to share, but the sizes is what he cannot help. Finally, he told them that whoever you receive according to your turn is your luck. 

He started calling from number one, just as he called the fourth person ,a girl  said to herself , no I cannot wait, this gift might finish, I do not believe this man. So when the man called the fourth person, she jumped out from the line, even though, she is supposed to be the  number five. 

The wealthy shouted in disappointment, no it is not your turn, you are supposed to be the fifth person, but since you have come out , come and collect the gift of the fourth person while I give the gift that you should have collected to the fourth person. 

The girl collected the gift, smiling thinking that she is smart, but when the man called the actual fourth girl and give her the gift of the fifth person. The other girl noticed that  the gift given to the fourth girl which is supposed to be her gifts is bigger and beautifully packaged.

She became unhappy with herself and  the gift which her impatience caused her to collect. She began to regret. So what does this story teach you: 

1. Be patience with God .

2. You cannot be smarter than God , he is your creator. 

3. Impatience can make get unripe blessing. 

4. Impatience brings regret. 

The bible says those that wait upon the lord shall never be ashamed take note.wait on the lord in every aspect of your life. You will not regret it.
